Starch Processing

De-Sanding Cyclones

Sand and other particles quickly become a problem in the processing setup but are easily solved with the de-sanding cyclone. SiccaDania’s de-sanding cyclones provide customers with protection against “snipers”.
De-sanding cyclone

The SiccaDania de-sanding cyclone is designed to remove unwanted particles in the production. For the best protection and minimum wear of the overall process equipment, a de-sanding cyclone is advised to remove sand and other coarse particles.

Sand is like a “sniper”. Eliminating sand and any other undesired objects may prevent serious damage to the rest of your starch operation. Among other things, our ceramic cyclones ensure the ongoing protection of your systems as well as your final product.

For the best protection and minimum wear of the overall process equipment, the pulp is then fed to de-sanding cyclones to remove sand and other coarse particles. Because of the especially highly erosive nature of sand, SiccaDania cyclones are made of stainless steel with a ceramic body.
