Faba Beans

Discover how you can extract starch, protein, and fibre from faba beans in a zero-waste, commercially sustainable manufacturing process.

Extracting valuable proteins, fibres and starch

Faba beans, also known as fava beans, are an attractive source of proteinsstarch and dietary fibre. Low in common allergens and not genetically modified, faba beans offer a good alternative to other protein crops such as soy and pea.

When stored in optimal conditions, deterioration of the raw product is minimalso the time between harvesting and processing is less critical than with other plant sources, such as cassava roots, provided your logistics processes are well-planned

With our processing technology and product know-how, you can extract all important nutrients from the bean – starch, protein and fibre.
