The single-stage SiccaDania Fans and Blowers are selected according to client specifications. Basically, the fans and blowers have the same geometrical configuration but differ in the application and static pressure rise:
- The fans are used for conveying air or a gas-type media at medium to high flow rates up to 700,000 m3/h and/or at pressures up to 200 mbar(g).
- The blowers have a low to medium flow, deliver a higher static pressure rise up to 500 mbar(g) in a single stage and are, in many cases, used for either incinerator operation or convey special or toxic gasses
Typical applications:
- Downstream Flue Gas or Process Fans for high design temperatures, in many cases with volumetric flows above 200,000 m3/h and with corrosive gas.
- Incinerator blowers for maintaining a constant pressure in an upstream or downstream process over the full flow range. This application will typically include an inlet vane control, recycle lines, blow-off valves and an anti-surge monitoring and control system.
- Tail gas blowers for conveying acid or toxic gasses at a design pressure up to 10 bar(g) and, if required, for a design temperature up to 400 °C. The casing is designed as a pressure vessel and special shaft seals (carbon ring type or dry gas seals) with seal gas systems are used. The casing will be subject to FEM calculations to prove the structural integrity.
- Fans for ambient temperature below -40 °C (i.e. Russia) with special insulation and bearings and materials selected with guaranteed impact values at -60 °C
- Dual Drive Fans, driven on two sides by an electric motor and a steam turbine, through special foot-mounted one-way clutches and flexible couplings
